In short: Legacy 2 is an independent, fan-made community server. We do not own Lineage II. Lineage II and everything related to it belong to NCSOFT Corporation. We are not NCSOFT, we do not work with NCSOFT, and NCSOFT has not approved this project.
1. Legal disclaimer & intellectual property
Legacy 2 (also "Legacy2 Europe", "we", "us", "the project") is an independent, unofficial, fan-made community project. It is not affiliated with, associated with, authorised, endorsed, sponsored, licensed or approved by NCSOFT Corporation, NC America, NC Europe, or any of their subsidiaries, affiliates, publishers or partners (together, "NCSOFT").
Lineage® and Lineage II® are registered trademarks of NCSOFT Corporation. The game Lineage II, including its name, logos, world, lore, characters, classes, races, locations, artwork, music, sound effects, models, textures, animations, user interface, game client, game data and all other related content, is the exclusive property of NCSOFT and/or its licensors. All rights are reserved by their respective owners.
- Legacy 2 does not claim any ownership of, or any right or licence to, Lineage II or any NCSOFT intellectual property.
- Any reference to Lineage II, NCSOFT, their games or their content on this website, in the game or on our channels is made only to describe the game this community plays, and does not suggest any connection with, or approval by, NCSOFT.
- Nothing on this website or in the service gives you any right or licence to NCSOFT intellectual property.
- Legacy 2 is not the official Lineage II service. For the official game, please visit NCSOFT's official channels.
- The name "Legacy 2", our own logos and website code belong to the project, without any claim over the underlying game.
Rights holders
We respect intellectual property. If you are NCSOFT, an authorised representative of NCSOFT, or any other rights holder and you believe that content on this website or in the service infringes your rights, please contact us using the details in the Contact section. We will act on any valid request promptly and in good faith, which may include removing the content concerned or suspending or permanently shutting down all or part of the project, without the need for any further action from you.
2. An independent fan project
Legacy 2 is a fan community project, created by players, for players, out of love for Lineage II. It is independent: it has no connection to NCSOFT.
- The game is free to play. Creating an account, downloading the launcher and playing cost nothing. Journey III and Journey IV are included in the optional Premium Membership.
- We do not sell Lineage II, the game client, NCSOFT content, or any licence to them, and no payment you make is a payment for NCSOFT property.
- We do not sell in-game items, Adena, enchants, stats or any other in-game advantage, and there is no item shop and no donation coin.
- The optional Premium Membership is a monthly subscription. Its income keeps the community running: servers, hosting, bandwidth, security and maintenance. It is never a purchase of the game, the client or any NCSOFT content.
- We do not run advertising on this website and we do not sell user data.
3. Terms of service
These terms apply to this website, the game server, the launcher, our community channels and any related service (together, "the service"). By creating an account, downloading the launcher, connecting to the server or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these terms, the server rules and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
3.1 Who may use the service
- You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 16, or under the age of digital consent in your country, you may only use the service with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
- You must not use the service if you are prohibited from doing so under the laws that apply to you.
- You understand and accept that Legacy 2 is an unofficial community project and not a service provided by NCSOFT, and you will not hold NCSOFT responsible for anything related to it.
3.2 Nature of the service
- The service is a free, community-run, hobby project. It is provided "as is" and "as available", without any promise of availability, continuity, quality or fitness for a particular purpose.
- We may change, suspend, roll back, wipe or permanently discontinue the service, or any part of it, at any time and for any reason, including at the request of a rights holder, with or without notice.
- We may perform maintenance, restore backups or roll back game data after bugs, exploits or attacks. Progress lost in this way will not be compensated.
3.3 Your account
- You must give accurate information when you register, including a valid email address that you own.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for everything that happens on your account. Staff will never ask for your password.
- Accounts are personal. They may not be sold, bought, traded, rented, shared or given away.
- Report any unauthorised use of your account to staff immediately.
3.4 Virtual items and progress
- Characters, items, Adena, mounts and all other in-game content have no real-world monetary value, are not your property and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value.
- You receive only a limited, personal, revocable permission to use them inside the service while it is running. That permission ends when your account is closed or the service ends.
- Buying, selling or trading accounts, characters, items or Adena for real money or for any outside value (real-money trading) is strictly forbidden and leads to a permanent ban of every account involved.
3.5 What you must not do
- Use bots, macros outside the in-game system, packet tools, cheats, hacks, injectors, or any unauthorised third-party software.
- Exploit bugs, or keep exploiting them after you have found them, instead of reporting them.
- Attack, overload, reverse engineer, scan or try to gain unauthorised access to the service, our servers, our databases or other players' accounts.
- Upload or share anything illegal, harmful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes anyone's rights.
- Impersonate staff, NCSOFT or any other person or organisation.
- Use the service, the Legacy 2 name or any content from the service for any commercial purpose, including reselling access, selling services, or running advertising.
- Redistribute, sell or rehost the launcher, client files or any content obtained through the service.
3.6 Enforcement
Staff may, at their sole discretion and without prior notice, warn, mute, jail, suspend, permanently ban, reset or delete any account or character that breaks these terms or the server rules, or that puts the community or the project at risk. Ban evasion leads to a permanent ban of all related accounts. Any Premium rewards on an account banned for breaking the rules are lost and membership payments are not refunded.
3.7 No warranty and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Legacy 2, its staff and its volunteers are not liable for any loss of data, progress, items, access, time, profit or opportunity, or for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use of, or the inability to use, the service, including its suspension or shutdown. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total amount you contributed to the project in the three (3) months before the event that caused the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
3.8 Indemnity
You agree to hold Legacy 2, its staff and volunteers harmless from any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) that results from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of anyone else's rights.
3.9 Third-party content and links
The website links to third-party services such as YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, payment providers and download mirrors. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Their own terms apply.
3.10 Changes and termination
- We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced on our channels. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.
- You may stop using the service and ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a rule, we do not give up the right to enforce it later.
4. Server and Forum rules
Fair play
- No bots, macros outside the in-game system, packet tools or any third-party automation.
- No exploiting bugs. Report them to staff; confirmed reports may be rewarded.
- Box limits apply per hardware ID and are stricter during sieges and the Olympiad. Current limits are published in the News.
- No real-money trading of accounts, characters, items or Adena.
- Refer a Friend rewards are for real new players. Referring yourself or your own extra accounts, or accounts from the same device or network, voids the rewards and can lead to a ban of every account involved.
Community
- Respect other players and staff. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination and threats are not tolerated.
- No advertising other servers or services.
- No impersonating staff members, NCSOFT or anyone else.
- No sharing of other people's personal information.
Names
- Character and clan names must not be offensive, political, commercial, or imitate staff or NCSOFT.
- Staff may rename characters or clans that break this rule.
Forum
The Forum is part of your dashboard. It is open to players with a Legacy 2 account and a confirmed email address. The community and names rules above apply there too, together with these:
- You choose your forum name once. It must follow the names rules. Staff may change a forum name that breaks them.
- The characters shown next to your posts are checked against the game server. You can only post as your own characters.
- There are no picture or file uploads. You may share links (https only). New members can share links after their first 24 hours on the Forum.
- No spam, flooding or vote manipulation, including with extra accounts. The Forum limits how often you can start threads, reply, vote and report.
- No cheats, exploits, links to other servers, or trading of accounts, characters or items for real money.
- No illegal content and no personal information about other people.
- You keep the rights to what you write. By posting, you allow us to show it on the Forum, in the dashboard and in the dashboard app for as long as it stays there.
- Posts in the Aden Chronicle space are written automatically from game server events, such as siege results, new Heroes and epic boss kills.
Clan Rooms
- Every clan on the game server has a Clan Room with a private board. Who belongs to a clan comes only from the game server: when you leave a clan in game, you lose access to its board.
- Only members of the clan can read and write on its board. The moderation team can open a clan board to handle a report or a legal request.
- The clan leader, and the officers the leader names, can pin, lock and hide posts on their own board, edit the Clan Room and answer applications. They must follow these rules too, and their actions are recorded.
- A clan notice goes to the notifications of every clan member with a forum account. It goes by email only to members who turned on clan emails. You can turn them off at any time in your Forum account card.
Moderation and your rights
- Moderators and admins can hide posts, lock, pin or move threads, and mute members. Every action needs a written reason, and we keep a record of it.
- When we hide your post or mute you, we tell you in your notifications and show you the reason.
- Automatic limits stop spam, for example how often you can post or share links. Decisions to hide content or to mute a member are taken by people, not by an automated system.
- If you think a decision is wrong, contact us through Contact Support within six months. Someone on the team reviews it and answers you.
- Repeated or serious breaches lead to longer mutes and can lead to the measures in section 3.6.
Reporting content
Use the Report button on any thread, reply or member. To report illegal content you can also write to us using the details in the Contact section. Please include the link to the content, why you believe it is illegal, and your name and email address. We review reports without undue delay and let you know what we decided.
5. Premium Membership
Premium is a completely optional monthly membership for players who want to support Legacy 2. Nobody has to join to play, and the game itself is free.
- What it is. A monthly subscription of €9.99 (including VAT where it applies). The income keeps the community running: servers, hosting, bandwidth, security and maintenance.
- What members receive. Each paid month gives you a Premium Pass in your account. You send it to one of your characters and activate it in game for 30 days of Premium on that character: a personal mount, the option to unlock more mounts with Legacy Coins earned in game, and access to Journey III and Journey IV. Premium benefits may be changed or rebalanced to keep the game fair; we tell members before any important change.
- What it is not. A membership is not a purchase of Lineage II, the game client, NCSOFT content, or any licence to them, and no part of it is paid for NCSOFT property. It never includes items, Adena, enchants, stats, or any other tradeable in-game currency or advantage.
- Fair play. All items, enchants and levels are earned in the game, the same way for every player.
- Renewal and cancelling. The membership renews every month on the same day until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard, in one click; Premium then stays active until the end of the month already paid, and you are not charged again.
- Immediate delivery and the right of withdrawal. The Premium Pass is digital content delivered to your account right after payment. At checkout you ask for immediate delivery and confirm that you understand you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal for that month once it is delivered.
- All payments are final. Once a month is paid and its Premium Pass is in your account, that payment is not refunded, including when you stop playing, change your mind or cancel later in the month (cancelling only stops the next renewal). The only exceptions are the ones the law requires, for example a Pass that was never delivered or a payment taken twice by mistake: contact us and we fix it. Premium is lost without refund if the account is banned for breaking the rules.
- If the service ends. The project may close at any time (see section 3.2). If it does, no further payments will be taken. Where the law requires it, we will refund the unused part of the current month.
- Payments. Payments are handled by a third-party payment provider. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
- Chargebacks. If something is wrong with a payment, contact us first: we answer every request. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute for a Pass you received suspends the website account and all its game accounts while the dispute is open, and removes the Premium, items and rewards linked to that payment (including the 2 USDC credited to a Partner). Fraudulent payments lead to a permanent ban.
6. Referrals and the Partner Program
Every player can invite friends with a personal link. Streamers, content creators and community leaders (for example of a clan or a Discord server) can also apply to the Legacy 2 Partner Program on the Partners page.
- Referral rewards. When a friend who signed up with your link reaches the required level with one of their characters, you both receive Legacy Coins on the website. Referrals are checked: accounts from the same device or network, or created only to collect rewards, don't count.
- Applying. Applications are reviewed by our team, who may approve or decline any application without giving a reason. We reply to the email address of your account.
- What Partners earn. Partners keep the normal referral rewards. They also earn 2 USDC for every completed Premium Membership payment of a player who signed up with their link, for as long as that player stays a member. Payments made before the account became a Partner don't count. Payments that are refunded, charged back or found to be fraudulent don't count and may be removed from the balance.
- Withdrawals. Partners can withdraw their balance from 20 USDC. USDC is sent by our team on the Sui network (the only network we use), within 48 hours, to the address the Partner enters in each withdrawal request. A request covers the whole balance available at that moment; USDC earned after it stays in the balance for the next request. You are responsible for entering a correct address: transfers on a blockchain can't be reversed.
- Fair promotion. Partners promote Legacy 2 honestly: no spam, no misleading claims, no paid or fake accounts, no promises of in-game advantages, and a clear mention that Legacy 2 is an independent fan community server not affiliated with NCSOFT. Breaking these rules ends the membership and unpaid earnings that come from abuse are cancelled.
- Taxes. Partners are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes on what they earn in their own country.
- Changes and ending. We may change the amounts or end the Partner Program at any time. Earnings already in your balance stay yours and can still be withdrawn from the minimum amount. You can leave the program at any time by contacting us.
7. Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Legacy 2 collects, why, and what rights you have. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We collect as little as possible and we never sell your data.
7.1 Who is responsible
The Legacy 2 project team is responsible for your data. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section.
7.2 What we collect and why
- Account data: account name, email address and your password, stored only as a one-way hash. Why: to create and secure your account, recover it, and send important service messages. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
- Sign in with Google (optional): if you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use the name as your display name and the email for your account. We never receive your Google password, and we don't access anything else in your Google account. You can remove this link at any time in your Google account settings. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
- Security data: IP address, login attempts and hardware identifiers. Why: to protect accounts, enforce box limits, and prevent cheating, attacks and ban evasion. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and fair.
- Game data: characters, items, chat and in-game activity logs. Why: to run the game, investigate reports and enforce the rules. Legal basis: performance of our agreement and legitimate interest.
- Newsletter: your email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, only if you sign up. Why: to tell you about the launch and major news. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Premium payments: the payment status and the account it belongs to. Card and bank details are processed by the payment provider, not by us. Legal basis: performance of our agreement and legal obligations.
- Support tickets: your first and last name, account name, character name (optional), reply email and your message, when you send a ticket through the Contact form. Why: to answer your request and keep a record of it. Legal basis: performance of our agreement and legitimate interest. Only signed-in players can send tickets, to keep automated spam out.
- Forum: your forum name, your threads, replies and votes, the character you choose to post as (name, level, class and clan, from the game server), your Clan Room activity and applications, your notifications, and the reports you send or receive. Why: to run the Forum and keep it safe. Legal basis: performance of our agreement and our legitimate interest in moderation. Clan emails are sent only with your consent, which you give and withdraw with one switch.
- Partner Program: if you apply, your full name, the links of your channels, your language and audience size and your message; if you become a Partner, your Sui wallet address and your earnings and withdrawals. Why: to review your application and pay what you earn. Legal basis: performance of our agreement with you.
7.3 Cookies, local storage and statistics
This website does not set cookies: no advertising or tracking cookies. To work, it keeps a few strictly necessary items in your browser's local storage: your sign-in session (so you stay signed in), an invite code if you opened a friend's invite link, and small reminders such as whether you have already seen the trailer window They never leave your browser except to keep you signed in, and you can clear them at any time from your browser settings. Because they are needed for the service to work, they do not need consent.
Visitor statistics. On our public pages we use Dezigniacs Analytics, a cookieless counter, to see which pages and news articles are read and where visitors come from, so we can improve the website. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not record what you type. It counts the page you open, the page you came from and general details such as browser, device type and country. It never runs on your dashboard, the admin area or the password reset page, and it stops completely if your browser sends "Do Not Track". We do not use it for advertising and do not sell this data.
Some services load only when you use them: the YouTube trailer (from youtube-nocookie.com) loads only after you press play, and Cloudflare Turnstile, if enabled, runs only on the sign-in and sign-up forms to check that you are human.
7.4 Who we share data with
We share data only with the services we need to run the project, and only as much as they need:
- our hosting and server providers, which store the data;
- Cloudflare (Turnstile), if enabled, to check that registrations come from humans;
- the payment provider, for Premium Membership payments;
- Resend (resend.com), our email service, which sends account emails (confirmation, password reset), support ticket replies, newsletters and announcements, clan notices you chose to receive by email, and stores the newsletter list;
- Supabase (supabase.com), which hosts our database and account sign-in;
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google, to confirm who you are;
- Vercel (vercel.com), which hosts this website;
- Dezigniacs Analytics (tools.dezigniacs.com), which counts visits to the public pages without cookies;
- Google Fonts and cdnjs, which deliver the website's fonts and icons and receive your IP address when you load a page;
- authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the project and its players against fraud or abuse.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. When they do, they use the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7.5 How long we keep it
- Account and game data: for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete it, we delete it within 30 days.
- Security logs: up to 12 months, unless they are needed to investigate abuse.
- Ban records: as long as needed to prevent ban evasion.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
- Support tickets: up to 12 months after the ticket is resolved.
- Forum: your threads and replies stay until you delete them or your account is deleted. A thread or reply you delete, or that we hide, disappears for everyone else at once, and stays only in our moderation records until your account is deleted. Read notifications are removed after about 60 days.
- Moderation records: as long as needed to handle disputes and repeated breaches.
- Payment records: as long as the law requires.
7.6 Security
Passwords are stored only as hashes. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), rate limiting and restricted access to our databases. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
7.7 Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that is wrong;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we process it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example for the newsletter;
- complain to your national data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, contact us (see Contact). We may ask you to prove that the account is yours, and we will reply within one month.
7.8 Children
The service is not intended for children under 16 without the permission of a parent or guardian. If we learn that we hold data about a child without that permission, we will delete it.
8. Contact
Players can reach the Legacy 2 team through the Contact Support form, after signing in. Privacy requests, account recovery, rights holder notices and any other legal matter can also be sent by email, with or without an account, to . Rights holder and legal notices are handled with priority.
